As an alternative to the traditional unity candle, the sand ceremony consists of the couple taking turns pouring different colored sand into a unity vase to symbolize the joining of two hearts. Our sand ceremony vase set goes a step further by including a third vase, which can represent a couple's child, shared faith or other symbolic element. Once the heart-shaped vase is filled with colorful sand, it can be kept forever as a poignant reminder of your special day. This six-piece set includes a heart-shaped bottle with glass stopper, two large heart vases, one small heart vase and one metal display stand. Each piece can be personalized for an extra-special touch; engrave the first initial of the bride and groom on each of the two vases and include a monogram and wedding date on the heart-shaped bottle. The personalization was easy to follow for this item, which is why I felt comfortable ordering this item from this website. I just wish there were options for the colors of the letters. Since they're white, you have to choose darker colors so that they stand out. But, it came just as expected and was a great addition to my wedding ceremony:)
